As Congress ended the 2017 session, there were still a number of important issues left unaddressed. They did manage to pass another Continuing Resolution (CR), to keep the government running through January 19, 2018. After no repeal and replace...what's next?
Now that we’re past the September 30th date for using Reconciliation Rules to force a Repeal and Replace, what lies ahead for the Affordable Care Act. As Bloomberg columnist Megan McArdle put it, the age of “Something must be done—this is something—therefore it must be done” legislation has ended and bipartisan supported bills will probably be the most expedient way of revising the ACA.
